FREDERICKSBURG — Fire crews were called to Sheetz gas station about 7:34 a.m. Sunday.
A fire had broken out inside the convenience store at 2001 Carl D. Silver Parkway in Fredericksburg.
MANASSAS — The Hylton Performing Arts Center announced its lineup of 2019 Summer Performances for Young Audiences.

STAFFORD COUNTY — Traffic on Route 17 in Stafford County is about to come to a halt.
The Virginia Department of Transportation has scheduled a full traffic stop on Route 17 northbound at the Interstate 95 Exit 133/Falmouth interchange in Stafford County overnight on Wednesday, May 8.

A Stafford sheriff’s deputy was called to the motel and found an employee who said a woman had robbed the hotel.
The employee attempted to stop the woman, but she shoved him away and took the register. She then went to a back area of the hotel where she emptied some of the cash from the register into her clothing and purse, said Vicinanzo. The employee managed to grab the woman, and that’s when she tried to bite him, Vicinanzo adds.
STAFFFORD — Senator Mark Warner (D) is scheduled to hear from brewers Friday during of Stafford County.
At 10:15 a.m. in Stafford, Warner will host a meeting with Stafford community leaders to discuss a wide array of issues, including his legislation to end government shutdowns and ensure that federal workers are not used as political pawns in negotiations. Additionally, Sen. Warner will take questions from members of the community.
A trial is underway for an ambulance driver charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with a crash last year in Stafford following which a patient he was transporting died.
