The Stafford County Board of Supervisors voted to spend $2.5 million to upgrade the county’s water infrastructure
The money will be used to monitor the use of water in the county, and to bring more water to areas of the county that will need greater access in the future.

It is the only library in our area that primarily serves three jurisdictions — Manassas, Manassas Park, and Prince William County. And, it’s about to close for six months for renovations.
Those renovations come as both Manassas and Manassas Park look to pull out of a shared-services agreement with Prince William County and start their own libraries.
Stafford fire and rescue crews were out in the Hidden Valley neighborhood in North Stafford over the weekend talking with residents following a massive fire we first told you about on Friday.

The results of a study to improve Route 28 in Prince William County will be presented on Wednesday.
Dubbed the “STARS” study by the Virginia Department of Transportation, and differing from the effort to widen Route 28, engineers have been studying ways to improve traffic flow between Old Centreville Road and the Bull Run/Fairfax County line.

Fire crews extinguished a blaze inside a double-wide trailer at the Hidden Valley Valley Mobile Home Park.
About 5 p.m., crews reported the bulk of the fire had been extinguished and that all occupants who lived in the home had been accounted for. No injuries had been reported.
Update from Virginia State Police at 8:33 p.m
A Fredericksburg man wanted for questioning in a fatal Culpeper County crash has been arrested by state police. Earl J. Nicholson Jr., 38, was charged with one felony count of hit and run and is being held without bond at the Culpeper Regional Jail. Additional charges are pending.
Residents expressed their ideas about what to do with a historic home, Annaburg Manor.
Members of the city council have speculated it could become a park due to its location close to downtown.
