A mix of new retail and residential buildings are envisioned in Manassas Park, Northern Virginia’s youngest city, all in an effort to attract new residents and shoppers to the area.

City Manager Laszlo Palko will unveil to the city’s Governing Body an updated concept plan for phases three and four of the city’s development plans for the area between Manassas Drive and the Manassas Park Virginia Railway Express station. A public meeting will be held at Manassas Park City Hall at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2020. 


Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam today tightened his grip on Virginia residents with a new executive order that limits the free travel of those in the commonwealth as the coronavirus continues to spread.

Every afternoon along Fairview Avenue, past the Manassas Police Department headquarters, and into Downtown, Sandy O’Bannon walks her dog, Indiana while wearing a pink bunny suit.

In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, O’Bannon said she continued to walk her dog daily. She added the pink bunny suit to bring cheer to passersby.


I spent the past four hours scouring the web, looking for the Twitter handles of as many restaurants in our area — from Gainesville to Fredericksburg — that I could find.

Starting tomorrow in Virginia, it’s Restaurant Takeout Week, a chance for residents to support their favorite restaurants during a time when dining rooms are closed in the wake of a growing number of coronavirus cases in the state and in the U.S.


Stafford County now leads the Rappahannock area with the most number of coronavirus cases with 13.

There’s now a total of 20 cases reported by the Rappahannock Health District. The second case of coronavirus has been reported in Fredericksburg, but there are no additional details about the patient, said city spokeswoman Sonja Cantu.


With supplies running short and localities searching for any amidst the coronavirus outbreak, Stafford County is working to provide these supplies to their community, with the help of volunteers and donors.

Stafford County has set up a warehouse and supply chain to address this supply shortage. Working with members of Stafford Fire and Rescue, Stafford’s volunteer Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and Team Rubicon, a veterans disaster relief organization, The county will be accepting public donations between Monday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
