Prince William County, Manassas, Manassas Park, and all the towns now have a Public Defender.

On Wednesday, September 2, Woodbridge District Supervisor Margaret Franklin hosted a virtual forum along with Chief Public Defender Tracey Lenox and Deputy Chief Public Defender Jenny Miller, as well as Occoquan District Supervisor Kenny Boddye and EJ Scott from the Prince William County NAACP.  


Free coronavirus testing is available for anyone who lives or works in Prince William County, the Manassas, or Manassas Park. Participants must provide their full name, telephone number, and a home or work address to obtain COVID testing and receive the results.

Here is a list of the upcoming testing sites and locations. All sites can accommodate drive-thru or walk-up testing. To ensure residents receive a test, they’re asked to arrive at the site as close as possible to the start time and ensure they are in line by the time posted below.


A woman faces charges after a man involved in a head-on crash was taken to a hospital.

On August 20 , Stafford sheriff’s deputies were called to the 3000 block of Route 1 for a head-on collision between a Toyota Tacoma and a Toyota Rav4. An investigation revealed the Tacoma was traveling north on Route 1 when it crossed the center line and struck the other vehicle.

Stafford County will extend coronavirus hazard pay to public safety volunteers for their service during the coronavirus pandemic.

The county’s fire and rescue department found 75 fire and rescue volunteers and 15 members for its Community Emergency Response Team who are eligible for hazard pay and will receive the payments.


Long lines are expected to form outside polling places on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020. That’s when voters across our area will not only cast their ballot for President, but also for U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
