These questions and more will be answered in a new service Prince William County will implement designed to shed more light on the actions of members of the Board of County Supervisors.


Commuters near Manassas and Manassas Park will see a new ramp from Route 28 South to I-66 East open on Friday, September 25. The new ramp is part of several improvements of roadway via the Transform 66 Outside The Beltway Project.

Drivers on Route 28 South will stay to the right to access I-66 East using the new ramp, located prior to the traffic signal and two left-turn lanes that drivers currently use. The new ramp is one of several major traffic pattern changes happening this year in the I-66 and Route 28 Interchange area as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.


The ground has been broken for a new $40 million public safety center in Manassas.

Elected officials joined chiefs from the city’s police and fire departments to lead a ceremony marking the start of construction for the a new facility on Grant Avenue, just outside of the city’s historic district.


A town hall meeting will be held tonight at the Manassas Airport Main Terminal Lobby at 7 p.m. to weigh in on several topics.

According to the agenda, the items discussed will be proposed changes to the city charter, which would give the city’s mayor the power to vote on a regular basis. Democrats now hold a majority on the city council and are pushing for a change the charter.


Police on Saturday, September 19 arrested a suspect sought in connection to a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence in Woodbridge.

On September 17 at 12:36 p.m., officers learned the victim, a 17-year-old female, told police that earlier that morning she awoke to an acquaintance standing over her. The accused refused to leave the residence and began inappropriately touching the victim, police said.
