KO Distilling, the Manassas-based producer known for its smooth-tasting bourbon, released its first bottle of bonded bourbon.
KO’s Distiller’s Reserve Bottled in Bond, a four-year-old, 100-proof bourbon whiskey kept in wooden barrels made from charred American White Oak. The whiskey itself is distilled from Virginia grown grains, including 70% corn, 20% wheat, and 10% malted barley.
Campbell County supervisors have passed a resolution rejecting Gov. Ralph Northam’s recent executive order, declaring the county a “First Amendment sanctuary” and directing the county to express opposition to the governor’s new safety guidelines that limit the size of gatherings, among other restrictions.

The third time wasn’t the charm for Prince William police, as County Supervisors on Tuesday failed to bar language from the county’s upcoming strategic plan that would call for defunding the department.
In a 5-3 vote, most Democrats on the Board voted against an effort by Supervisor Peter Candland (R-Gainesville) to block efforts to “reallocate” or defund police.

At a joint meeting of the Stafford County Board of Supervisors and the county’s School Board today, Supervisors decided to waive late temporarily and interest for late tax payments. Residents can pay the taxes due on December 5, as late as Jan. 29, 2021, without facing a penalty.

The school division aims to completely overhaul its pay scale for teachers to become more competitive with jurisdictions like neighboring Prince William County, Fairfax, and Loudoun counties.

Fredericksburg is looking to turn the city’s new Riverside Park into a “smart” park.
The city will enter a partnership with the Center for Innovative Technology to bring smart technology that would be a feature of the new park when it opens to the public next year.
