Units with Stafford County Fire and Rescue were called to a house fire just after 6 p.m. on Friday, August 6 on Hoot Owl Road in the Widewater area.
The first arriving units found a single-story garage fully involved in fire. Units worked to extinguish the fire and determined multiple vehicles and a camper were also involved in the fire.

The Fredericksburg Nationals today announced the lineup for the 2021 FredNats Concert Series. The FredNats and their event programming partner, Oak View Group, will welcome five acts between August 20 and October 16.
The new FredNats Concert Series will accommodate over 5,600 fans with seating options in luxury suites, stadium seats, and seating on the field.
A North Carolina man was struck and killed in a grocery store parking lot in Stafford County.
At 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, a 911 call reported the victim had been struck outside of a Lidl, at 1175 Warrenton Road, near a Walmart. Deputies found the male victim, Daniel Junco, 49, of Fayetteville, N.C., and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Stafford County authorities recovered a vehicle stolen from Prince William County and arrested two suspects in the process.
On Monday, July 19 at 3 p.m., a Stafford County Sheriff’s Deputy was called to Widewater Road in the northeastern section of the county for a report of a reckless driver. The caller provided a photo of the vehicle, a Volkswagen Jetta, with the vehicle’s license plate number.
Customers can expect to see a new lineup of 36 new canned cocktails, spirits and mixers heading to ABC stores in July.
These new products span a variety of spirits including bourbon, cordials, gin, moonshine, tonic, tequila, rum, scotch, vodka and vermouth. New products were selected from around the world, but eight of them were made in Virginia.
