STAFFORD, Va. — With the pomp and circumstance normally reserved for a presidential campaign speech, Stafford County welcomed Virginia Gov. Robert F. McDonnell to its public safety center Wednesday.

Arriving about 9:30 a.m. in a black motorcade traveling on Va. 630, McDonnell was greeted by uniformed officers from the county’s sheriff and fire agencies. A large U.S. flag was draped overhead from two ladder trucks from the fire department marking the spot where McDonnell would sign new bills into law that offer new protections for public safety workers, as well as expand their investigative powers.

Manny, 9, came close to a championship last winter, but his team fell just a little short. Last February, the Gators faced off against the Raptors in the Championship game for the 9-10 year old division. Manny’s Gators played a hard fought game, but fell just short as they lost by four points.

It’s so good to see so many familiar and new faces on my LinkedIn account. Why, you’re all there – from people I used to work with, people I’ve met while on the job, and many faces I am looking forward to meeting.

I’ve had my LinkedIn account for about three years and, I’ll admit, I’ve neglected it. But now that I know some great connections are on LinkedIn (and on my Facebook, Twitter, and my friends who appear to work at Google and have Google Plus accounts) what’s the best way to communicate with them?
