GAINESVILLE, Va. — What a mess for commuters on Wednesday night. An SUV that was sitting at a railroad crossing on U.S. 29 in Gainesville was hit by a train about 7 p.m.
The train damaged the front of the SUV but the female driver inside was not injured, according to a Prince William police official on the scene.

Crews are working to repair guardrails along Joplin Road. Traffic will be shifted to one side of the roadway as the repairs are made, according to transportation officials.
NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — A car and an FBI Police SUV became entangled on Va. 610 this afternoon.
The crash happened about noon near at the intersection of Dunn Drive near the Helen Loren Federal Building.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Officials on the Prince William County School Board tonight will hear from residents who want to be appointed to the Board.
Six applicants will be considered to fill the vacant Woodbridge District seat on the Board. It’s a position that was vacated the day after the Nov. 6 General Election by Denita S. Ramirez, who took a new job in Richmond.

NORTH STAFOFRD, Va. — A concert by the North Stafford High School Band has been canceled.
School officials said a personnel issue forced the cancelation of the concert.
