I like 11st Congressional District Congressman Gerry Connolly, I really do. I don’t always agree with his politics; however, he has supported a few initiatives I am really fond of, like Telework, and his constituent services are first class. While I lean right, I voted for Connolly in the past, and had planned to for the indefinite future.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — A Dumfries man was killed on Independence Day in a motorcycle crash on Joplin Road that involved two motorcycles.
Police were called to the intersection of Joplin and Mawavi roads just before 1 p.m. Thursday. Two motorcycles were headed east on Joplin Road toward Interstate 95 and Quantico when one of the riders moved to pass a vehicle traveling in front of him, and then collided with an oncoming vehicle traveling on the opposite side of the road, according to Prince William police.

While I could have offered them ants on a log and carrot sticks as an afternoon snack, I knew that such healthy appetizers are not “special occasion food,” particularly for those who are not willingly participating in the unprocessed food challenge. MANASSAS, Va. — A new commuter lot on Interstate 66 will open on Monday in Manassas.
The new $5.9 million, 433-space Cushing Road commuter lot can sits near the interchange of Prince William Parkway and I-66. The lot can be accessed by using Cushing Road, just off Balls Ford Road.
NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — A popular live music venue and cafe in North Stafford will once again close its doors.
Bella Cafe on U.S. 1 in Boswell’s Corner, near Quantico Corporate Center, will close by July 20, according to a post on its Facebook page.

Police released the names of the two drowning victims from Montclair.
DUMFRIES, Va. — Dumfries officials are playing a game of wait and see when it comes to the living arrangements of Councilman Derrick Wood.
The freshman council member was forced to move out of his rented Williamstown townhome in mid June when the owner sold it. Wood told Potomac Local News last week, as well as Dumfries officials, he hopes to reestablish residency in the town by July 9.
MANASSAS, Va. — A woman was cut from a car after a four-car pile up tonight in Manassas, according to a witness on the scene.
It happened near the intersection of Prince William Parkway and Liberia Avenue just after 11 p.m. All four cars appeared to have been involved in a rear-end collision, witnesses said.
