WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A police officer responding to a call for a pedestrian walking in the middle of a roadway collided with a woman who was walking in traffic on U.S. 1 in Woodbridge, and the woman later died.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — The body of a 27-year-old man was found late Sunday night by someone walking their dog.
Police said the body was found in the 12700 Block of Ridgefield Village Drive, near a Harris Teeter grocery store on Hoadly Road, at 8:40 p.m.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. –– C,D. Hylton High School in Woodbridge is on a precautionary secure-the-building status this morning after police were investigating a suicidal person in the Dale City area.
Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said the person does not pose a threat to the community or the school, and added school officials called for the secure status just to be cautious.

The celebration is planned for Saturday Oct. 12, at the Manassas Utilities Building at 8500 Public Works Drive in Manassas, but for the next 100 days starting this month, the utilities agency will begin a series of month-long giveaways for things like flashlights, water bottles, hats, totes, and coffee mugs. A few customers could also win restaurant gift certificates, and have a shot at the pearls.

MANASSAS, Va. — It appears a car was ablaze late Sunday in Manassas, and that’s what prompted a 911 response to 8254 Highland Court, near Lomond Drive, in Manassas.
According to video released by Manassas fire and rescue crews, the fire was quickly doused and additional fire crews called to the scene were turned back around.
