Dumfries officials hear a request from North Stafford church now meeting at a hotel.

Grass Roots Christian Fellowship church wants to move its services from a Wingate Inn on Garrisonville Road in Stafford County to a space inside Elwye Building in Dumfries. The Town Council must grant a special use permit to the church to permit them to use the building, which houses commercial business.


This year’s Black History Month Celebration will honor several town residents, and mark the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Civil Rights Act.

A winter storm watch is issued for Loudoun County, but no warnings are in effect for Prince William. But we still could see some flakes, according to the weather service.

Snow is back in the forecast is back for us tonight. While Stafford County is not currently under a winter storm watch, nearby Loudoun County and counties in Maryland are under a winter storm  watch, with a projection of more than five inches of snow to begin tonight.

There is a possibility for wintry conditions in Stafford, with a mixture of rain and snow, although little snow accumulation is expected.


Good morning  – Brain Injury Services is looking a 12-month PALS friendship with a young Burke area man in his 20’s, loves any and all sports and would love a once or twice a month outing to enjoy sports and varied activities. Several more volunteers are needed to visit clients in specific neighborhoods. They have a client in Manassas who would like company to help with her crafting.
