Prince William County will be receiving $10.5 million dollars over the next four years to start a new Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI+) program for preschoolers.
The county has had a Head Start and VPI program for several years, but this new VPI+, which is set to start in September, will allow more children to receive preschool services.
On February 2, the Prince William County Electoral Board appointed Michele White as the new Director of Elections and General Registrar.
White had worked as the general registrar in Culpeper County for ten years, prior to the appointment, according to a release.
A study conducted in February of 1,266 area drivers has provided information on the ways that the 95 Express Lanes are changing the commute and general travel for Virginia drivers.
The 95 Express Lanes opened at the end of December last year. Transurban, the company that currently operates the Express Lanes, conducted the study.

Late yesterday evening, a 39-year old McLean man was the victim of an armed robbery on Harwood Oaks Court in Dumfries.
