From Prince William police: 

Abduction | Assault & Battery – On April 17 at 8:17AM, officers responded to investigate an assault which occurred at a residence located in the 13400 block of Orchard Dr in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that morning. The victim, a 25-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was in the kitchen when the accused, an acquaintance, grabbed her from behind and attempted to take her towards his bedroom. The victim was eventually able to break free and go to her bedroom. The accused then left the residence and the victim later contacted police. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Miguel Angel GRANADOS. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.


From Sentara: 

Effective Tuesday, April 18 at 6 a.m., people who need access to emergency services at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center (SNVMC) will have to use the main entrance of the hospital. The existing entrance will be under renovation from April 18 to the end of June. The campus will have signs to help direct patients and visitors to the main entrance. Sentara will offer free valet parking services, 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. This service is intended to give patients ease of mind and to take


On Sunday, April 16th at 12:17 p.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a townhouse fire located in the 10100 block of Sabin Drive in Manassas. Upon arrival, fire and rescue crews observed fire in the rear of a three-story mid-row townhouse. A second alarm was sounded as the fire extended into the home and into the roof. Firefighters initiated an attack on the fire and quickly extinguished it.

No injuries reported.


PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Tom Perriello spent an hour and a half defending positions he once took as a Virginia Congressman, trying to convince Democratic voters that he’s changed his ways.

The Democrat who is running against current Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam in a June 13 Primary Election took center stage at the Southlake Community Center in Montclair on Friday night. He laid out a vision for the state that entails free two-year tuition for community college students, expanding Medicare, more school funding, and raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour.


From Manassas City Police Department:

At 1:10 a.m. on April 17, 2017, Manassas City Police responded to 9000 block of Centreville Rd for a report of shots fired.  Officers located a 25-year-old male victim who appeared to be suffering from gunshot wounds.  The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.  The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of the family.  This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be forthcoming as the investigation continues.

Malicious Wounding | Abduction – On April 13 at 5:13 p.m., officers responded to a nearby hospital to investigate an assault. The victims, who were identified as 16 and 17-year-old juvenile males and an 18-year-old man, all of Woodbridge, reported to police that earlier that afternoon, they were driving in a vehicle near the intersection of Florida and Maryland Avenues in Woodbridge when a man, who was later identified as the accused, positioned his vehicle in front of their vehicle, preventing it from leaving. On Thursday, April 13th at 8:47 p.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a townhouse fire located in the 15700 block of Palmero Terrace in Woodbridge.

Upon arrival, fire and rescue crews observed an outside fire on the second floor of the three-story mid-row townhouse that had extended into the home and through the roof. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.
