The Manassas Museum, along with other organizations around the Commonwealth, is recognizing the 100th anniversary of World War I. The Forgotten World War: Its Impact at Home is our contribution to this statewide commemoration. In producing this exhibit, we partnered with Prince William County and created a display that focuses the themes of propaganda, music and the spread of the influenza virus among the local population.


From Prince William County police:

Abduction | Domestic Related – On October 10 at 2:00 a.m., officers responded to the 3800 block of Koval Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a possible abduction. The caller reported to police that she was on the phone with a family member, identified as a 44-year-old woman, who stated that the accused, an acquaintance, would not let her get out of a vehicle they were traveling in.

WASHINGTON– You can win tickets to attend the 2017 National Christmas Tree Lighting simply by entering an online ticket lottery Oct. 12-16. The ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 30 on the Ellipse at President’s Park (White House). Performances by Boys II Bow Ties, Mannheim Steamroller, and the U.S. Navy Band are sure to delight with their unique spin on traditional holiday numbers. Additional entertainers and special guests will be announced in the coming weeks.
