MANASSAS — The developers of a new Tru by Hilton Hotel will receive a $10,000 grant from the Manassas Economic Development Authority once the new hotel opens.

The $10,000 check from the EDA to hotel developer Holladay Properties amounts to a quarter of the organization’s total budget for economic incentives for 2018. The money will go to help offset the cost of development permits and fees and will be given after the hotel obtains its occupancy permit from the city.


MANASSAS — Chantilly Air plans to break ground next month on 60,000 square feet of new hangar space at the Manassas Regional Airport.

Less than six months after opening up services to the public, Chantilly Air will build two new 30,000 square-feet hangars at the airport, along with 32,000 new square feet of office space.


NORTH STAFFORD — Olde Virginia Gourmet has hit a small-business milestone and is now in its fifteenth year in business.

Beginning as an out-of-the-home gift basket business called All Wrapped Up, it has evolved over the years to become known as   “Stafford’s hometown country store.”.


WOODBRIDGE — Kaiser Permanente got the green light to build a massive new campus in Prince William County.

Occoquan District Supervisor Ruth Anderson reveled after her fellow board members unanimously approved a new “Kaiser South” hub, which will boast a total of 335,000 square feet of office space when complete.


PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — A Prince William County firm is leading the way on the cybersecurity battlefield. It’s ammunition — a mastery in sensory artificial intelligence.

Manny Rivera founded RiVidium in 2008 and the company is at the forefront not only cybersecurity but also sensor security, developing secured communications with a deployed series of small sensors.


WOODBRIDGE — The project checks all the boxes, county documents show.

A 250,000-square foot medical hub proposed by healthcare juggernaut Kaiser Permanente to be located in Woodbridge, dubbed Kaiser South, would fit the county’s long-range development plan to bring more commercial business development to the east side of the county.
