The Independence Day celebration at Pratt Park in Stafford County was a wonderful experience for my family.

It was our first time attending the event and our first time visiting Pratt Park, which overlooks the Rappahannock River. We were surprised at the size and openness of the park, capable of accommodating so many people to celebrate our nation’s 247th birthday.

Leadership Prince William is an organization that aims to develop new leaders while providing them with new perspectives on Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park.

Each year since 2007, the program has held an annual class, dubbed its signature program, where future leaders meet monthly to discuss big ideas and tour various areas of the county and cities.


The Rice family recently announced that they sold their family-owned hardware store, J.E. Rice Co., after almost 87 years.

The bright yellow aircraft is named the Electra Model EL-2 “Goldfinch” in celebration of the beloved, nimble American Goldfinch bird indigenous to North America.”

“Electra’s eSTOL technology demonstrator (TD) is the world’s first blown lift aircraft using distributed electric propulsion, which enables the airplane to take off and land in very short spaces. Electra’s proprietary blown lift technology uses eight motors to provide additional wing lift, and hybrid-electric power that provides internal recharging capabilities for aircraft batteries, eliminating the need for new ground infrastructure.”
