And they say that in a newly created video parody of the 1986 movie made for the police lip sync challenge, a series of viral videos featuring officers in departments across the U.S. lip syncing to familiar songs.

Drastic 2017 crime stat swings: Rapes increase while murder rate plunges

WOODBRIDGE — Some who have come in contact with Prince William police officers have become more brazen. Assaults on county police officers increased by 35 percent in 2017.

There were 148 recorded incidents of assaults on officers, up from 80 in 2016. Chief Barry Barnard said those statistics show just how dangerous policing profession can be.

Hundreds of people came Sunday afternoon to witness Mayor Derrick Wood be sworn into office. This marks the first mayoral term for a barbecue food-truck chef by day turned public servant.

The Fredericksburg Nationals? City aims to lure baseball team from Woodbridge.

FREDERICKSBURG — They’re clearly excited in Fredericksburg.

City officials on Tuesday posted to their Facebook page announcing the city was in the works to sign a letter of intent with the Potomac Nationals. That agreement would move the team from their home in Woodbridge, where they’ve been since 1984.
