Rally to oppose limits on U.S. Flags, tonight at Fairfax government center

Residents will gather in Fairfax tonight to support their right to fly the U.S. Flag at their homes.

A rally will begin a 5 p.m. outside the Fairfax County Government Center in response to county deliberations over whether or not to restrict the flagpole heights at single-family homes to 25 feet. At businesses, the limit would have been 60 feet.

Mass vaccination clinic starts today, 1 year after first coronavirus case detected

A mass vaccination clinic kicks off at 8 a.m. at an old Gander Mountain store next to Potomac Mills mall in Woodbridge.

The health district aims to distribute 1,000 doses of the new Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine per day, for the first time, over the three-day event. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is the third coronavirus vaccine to be approved for use requires patients receive just one dose, unlike vaccinations from Pfizer and Moderna that need two.

Leaders continue push for race info on vaccine distribution

Leaders in Prince William County continue to push to get more information about just who is getting the coronavirus vaccine.

Margaret Franklin, who represents Woodbridge District voters, says she’s told county staff to get her a vaccination report with a breakdown by race, that notes detailed demographic data.
