Prince William fire and rescue: “Yesterday afternoon (3:06 PM, Tuesday, June 6, 2023), units were dispatched to the 15000 blk of Cloverdale Road [Dale City] for a report of a house fire.”

“Units arrived on the scene with heavy fire showing (see attached video) from the second floor.  Crews quickly controlled the fire. The fire was discovered by one of the adult occupants home at the time of the fire.”

Prince William sups fund multiple transportation projects

Prince William County Government: “During their meeting on Tuesday, June 6, the Prince William Board of County Supervisors voted to budget and appropriate funding for several transportation projects across Prince William County.”

“University Boulevard Extension: The Board budgeted and allocated $40.7 million in state, regional and local funding to extend University Boulevard between Devlin and Wellington roads.”

700-space commuter lot opens in Spotsylvania

VDOT Fredericksburg: “A new Park & Ride commuter lot in Spotsylvania County opened today at the intersection of Route 1 and Commonwealth Drive, providing nearly 700 parking spaces for ride sharing within two miles of Interstate 95.”

“With the completion of this $16.5 million project, there are now a total of 4,732 commuter parking spaces available in Spotsylvania across five Park & Ride commuter lot locations.”

FredNats sink Riverdogs in series opener

Fredericksburg Nationals: “The Fredericksburg Nationals opened up their series against the Charleston Riverdogs with a 5-4 win.”

“The Riverdogs chased FredNat starter Riley Cornelio in the top of the first. Xavier Isaac and Dominic Keegan both reached base, then Carlos Colmenarez singled to load the bases. After a strikeout, Ryan Spikes singled into left field to plate Isaac, and prompted a pitching change. Jose Atencio entered, and got the last out in the first to limit the damage to just one run.”

Police still searching for man last seen on I-95

Manassas police are searching for a man they said on Monday, June 5, 2023, was last seen walking on Interstate 95 in Spotsylvania County four months ago. The department did not respond when we asked what ties the man had to Manassas.

Manassas City Police: “The Manassas City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating David Stuart who was reported missing on Feb. 20, 2021. Stuart was last seen on Feb. 11, 2021, walking along southbound I-95 in Spotsylvania County between the Fredericksburg and Massaponax exits. Prior to his disappearance, he made remarks to friends that led them to become concerned for his wellbeing.”

Bullets shatter car glass, injuring 3-year-old girl in Dale City

Prince William police: “Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle – On June 3 at 7:11PM, officers responded to the Cheshire Station Shopping Center located at 4255 Cheshire Station Plz. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed the victim, 25-year-old man, got into a verbal altercation with other patrons inside one of the stores which continued to the parking lot. The parties separated and the victim got into the vehicle occupied by two family members, another 25-year-old man and a 3-year-old girl. The other parties involved also got in a vehicle and followed the victim towards the entrance of the shopping center.”
