Susan Elaine Nidzgorski, 56, of Haymarket, VA passed away at her home on April 14, 2017 in the comforting arms of her identical twin Joyce, surrounded by her loving two other sisters Jane and Bobbi, after valiantly battling ovarian cancer for three and half years. She was a career middle school science teacher, tennis coach, and professional tennis instructor who added meaning and knowledge to every life she touched.

Stephen Lewis-Young Gammons, (MSGT, USAF, Ret.) age 76, of Dale City, VA, passed away on April 17, 2017. Beloved husband of more than 36 years to Chon Gammons. Loving father of Nina Ellmore, of Dale City, VA, Guy Gammons (Jacqueline), of Chicago, IL, and Gary Gammons (Rebecca), of Lillian, Alabama. Cherished grandfather of 6. He was the son of the late Floyd Z. Young and Wreatha (Stewart) Young.

In 1958, after graduating from High School, Stephen went straight into the Air Force, where he proudly served our country for over 26 years; retiring as a Master Sergeant. During his time in the Air Force, he served as an Air Force Enlisted Historian. After retirement, Stephen continued to work for the Department of the Army as a civil servant for over 21 years. His passions in life were his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather. Stephen will be missed by all who knew him.

Virginia L. Sarver, age 83 a native of Virginia and a resident of Foley, AL passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017.

She enjoyed gardening, quilting, reading, music, dancing and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Sarver retired from Fairfax County Virginia School Board after 30 years of employment. She was an Eastern Star.

Sheryl “Sherri” Marie Spurrier, 29, of Nokesville, left this earth and moved on to her forever home with Christ on Friday, April 14, 2017. Although she lived her life with cerebral palsy, her departure was unexpected and due in part to an infection that had crept its way into her body.

Gerald "Jake" Hammersley; born December 4, 1951 in Washington D.C. passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday April 14th at Fairfax Hospital after complications from congestive heart failure and pneumonia.

Jake, as he was know as by many friends & family is the son of Chancelor and Alma Hammersley. He is survived by his wife of 38 years; Molly Hammersley, his daughter Heather Bloomquist and his son in law Brent Bloomquist
