Elmer “Bob” Wiser, 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family Friday, June 9, 2017 at his home in Catlett, Virginia.

An entrepreneur, he worked in the trucking and landfill industries before retiring to his farm. He enjoyed farming and hunting and his dog “Buddy” along with time spent with family and friends.

Harry Jackson Hensley, Sr., age 71, of Haymarket, Virginia passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the Novant Health Haymarket Medical Center.

He was born on October 10, 1945 in Haymarket, Virginia the son of the late Nathan J. and Irene B. (Payne) Hensley. He retired from the Aqua Coating Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan R. Hensley.

“[Thursday] night the Woodbridge Potomac Communities Civic Association (WPCCA) hosted a “P-Nats Forum” at Potomac Shores. Seth Silber (P-Nats), Tom Sebastian (JBG) and Frank Principi (PWC) gave the same power point presentation made before the Chamber (twice) and the Committee of 100. The floor was then opened for questions with Principi controlling the q&a portion. JBG paid for a catered “reception” before the meeting that included gourmet appetizers, wine & beer. Several requests were made for audience support of the deal, including coming to the June 20 Board meeting to oppose the public referendum. Below are my observations and comments:

Donald Ransom Eskridge, age 89 of Manassas, VA died on June 17, 2017 at his residence surrounded by family. He is survived by his son Mark Eskridge and wife Ada; his grandchildren Teresa Roca and husband Miguel, Mark David Eskridge, Jennifer Ross and husband Terrell and James Eskridge and wife Sarah and by 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place at Pierce Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA 20110 on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 12:00 PM with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Interment Stonewall Memory Gardens.

Thomas Eddy Merritt, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Manassas Health and Rehab Center in Manassas, VA.

He was born on October 2, 1945 in Denver, CO. Mr. Merritt was the past Chief of Manassas Park Volunteer Fire Department and retired from Fairfax County as an Accident Reconstruction Specialist. He loved trains, rock and roll and John Wayne.

Luise Seitz Breiter went home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2017. She passed peacefully, with family at her bedside and a smile on her face.

Luise was born on September 19, 1933 in Furth, Germany. She met Manfred Breiter from Bremen, Germany in an English class in New York. Together they raised a family in Manassas, Virginia.
