Clay Donald Barnwell, 62, of Manassas, Virginia, passed away Thursday August 10, 2017 in his home.

To honor and celebrate his life, a service will be held at Pierce Funeral Home on Tuesday August 15, 2017 at 2:30pm, located at 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia, 20110.

Malorie Fitzgerald, 59, died August 10, 2017 in Dumfries, Virginia from brain cancer. A memorial service will be held at First United Presbyterian Church Dale City in Woodbridge, Virginia on August 19, 2017 at 11:00 AM. She was born September 26, 1957, in Fort Belvoir, Virginia to John and Marjorie Lowell. Her father was a Navy Captain who had a 30 year career as a Surface Warfare Officer. Her mother also spent time in the Navy before she married and started her family.

Malorie graduated from Florida State University and spent ten years on active duty in the Navy where she served in Argentia, Canada; Brawdy, Wales; and Panama. Following her active duty Navy service, she moved to Orlando, Florida where she met her husband David, another Naval officer. They were married in December, 1991 and moved frequently until David retired from the Navy in 2007. In 2000 they adopted their first child from Thailand, Paul, and then adopted Luke and Arianna, also from Thailand, in 2004. Malorie remained affiliated with the Naval Reserve, and finally retired from Naval Service as a Navy Captain. They have lived in Dumfries, VA since 2004.

Monique Nicole Runge, of Dumfries, VA, passed away on August 8, 2017. Beloved wife of 53 years to Harold J. Runge. Loving mother of Patrick Runge (Suzanne) and Jason Runge (Elizabeth). Cherished grandmother of Tyler Runge and Eric Runge. Adored daughter of Madeleine Enault, and the late Alfred Decaux. Dear sister of Sylviane Hudson (Andrew), Muriel Omont (late Albert), and Alain Enault (Sylvie)

Monique was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed painting, and going out to lunch with friends. She enjoyed watching her grandsons play soccer. Monique will be missed by all who knew her.

Paul Charles Hammond, age 76 passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Adler Center in Aldie, VA.

Paul was born on June 22, 1941 in Baltimore, MD to the late Walter George and Elizabeth (Hipkins) Hammond. Mr. Hammond was an Master Electrician who owned and operated H & H Electric. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed boating, hunting and fishing, known as the “Master of the Chesapeake”. Paul was a devoted father, friend and companion.
