Gerald Harlan Daly, 86, of Haymarket, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 10, 2017.

Mr. Daly had retired as a chemist for the Department of Energy. He enjoyed golf and time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis Unger Daly; a daughter, Sarah Jackowski; three grandchildren, Meg, Hannah and Will; a sister-in-law Nel Veder and her husband, Slava, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He is predeceased by his brother, Thomas Daly.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday, August 22 with a reception immediately following at Pierce Funeral Home.

Ann M. Drury

Ann Drury (nee Mykietyn), of Woodbridge, VA, passed away on August 17, 2017. Loving mother of Cindy (Jim) Clark, Robert Drury Jr. and Michael (Lori) Drury. Cherished grandmother of Ryan Drury, Zachary Drury and Austin Drury. Adored sister of John Mykietyn, Olga Kraemer, Mary Vetrini.and brother in law Jack (Doris) Drury. Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert J. Drury Sr. and her brothers and sisters Genio, Walter, Charlie, Leon, Eddie, Helen and Gert.

Ann was born in New Jersey, one of eleven children. She married Robert Drury and started living a Navy life for 26 years. Florida, California, Hawaii, Iceland and Virginia are amongst the places she called home. Whether she was doing the hula in Hawaii for the troops, winning cars in Tupperware, receiving The Red Apple award for food service or volunteering the KC Ladies, Ann selflessly gave her time to helping others.

Ann always had a smile on her face which was perpetuated by her love of God, country and family. She will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home on August 20, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM located at 4143 Dale Blvd, Dale City, VA 22193. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on August 21, 2017 at 10:30 AM with a reception to immediately follow Mass located at 14160 Ferndale Rd, Woodbridge, VA 22193.

Ronald Dennis Rusnak

GAINESVILLE – A service to celebrate the life of Ronald "Rus" Dennis Rusnak, 71, of Gainesville, VA will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Greenhill Winery and Vineyard, in Middleburg. The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m.

Rus passed away at home on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. He was born April 10, 1946 in Ft Dodge, Iowa to the late Stephen Rusnak and Alvina Nekvinda Rusnak. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the US Army where he was assigned to the Radio Research Division. During this time he received the Bronze Star Metal for valor in the face of adversity. After returning home from the war he was stationed at Vint Hill Farm where he met his wife Barbara Fletcher Rusnak. After they wed in 1972, he began a 36 year career as a Rural Letter Carrier with the USPS.

Rus is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Barbara Fletcher Rusnak; children, Catherine "Kate" Rusnak of Sterling and Ryan Douglas Rusnak (Kirby) of San Diego; brothers, Bruce (Marie) and Kevin (Donald) Rusnak; sister Patricia Rusnak Cameron (Thomas); 13 nieces and nephews, and 4 grand nieces and nephews.

Rus loved his family, friends, and making sure everyone was taken care of. He was an avid Washington, D.C. sports fan and was dedicated to the Virginia Tech Hokies. He loved to share stories of adventures with his family and friends and was proud of the many successes of his children, Kate and Ryan. Rus was a truly happy man.

The family would like to thank all of the support received so far from family, friends, and neighbors during this unexpected time.

She was born on November 17, 1943 in Staunton, Virginia the daughter of the late Kent C. and Thelma (Ramsey) Ryder.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Dail Davis, Sr.
