Kenneth Thomas Nixon, SR, age 62 of Manassas, VA died at his residence on June 30, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on October 31, 1956 in Baltimore, MD son of Sellie Howard, JR and the late Elizabeth Nixon.

Mary Williams passed away peacefully, at home, at the age of 97, on June 25, 2019. She and her husband had lived in Northern Virginia since 1952, when James, an Air Force veteran, was stationed at Fort Meyer, VA. They moved from North Springfield to Lakeridge in 1971.

Mary was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, James Williams, in 1996. She was the oldest of five, and predeceased by all four siblings: Rose, Carmen, Nancy and Janet. Born prematurely at seven months, weighing a little over three pounds, Mary was a survivor from the start, and never changed. Her four children, Kathy (Jerry), Sandy, Scott (Marci), and Cynthia (Lowell), gave her 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Emily Cook Shell, age 94, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at her home in Manassas, Virginia.

Mrs. Shell was born on April 29, 1925 in York, South Carolina to the late Robert Peter and Mary Julia (Culler) Cook.

Joseph Merritt Revard, age 83, passed away on June 28, 2019 at his home in Edinburg, Virginia.

He was born on February 26, 1936 in Paris, Virginia. After 24 years of service, he retired as a Battalion Chief of Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department. He enjoyed relaxing at his cabin; being outdoors, fishing, farming and spending time with his grandkids and family.

Robert Ray Callen, age 75, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019 after a long illness at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA.

He was born on January 23, 1944 in Farber, Missouri to the late John Robert and Marjorie Ruth (Hall) Callen.

James Russell “Jack” Carwile, Jr, age 76, of Woodbridge, VA, passed away on June 28, 2019. Beloved husband of over 42 years to the late Anne Davidson Carwile. Loving father of James Russell “Jim” Carwile, III (Rhonda), and Steven D. Carwile (Tracey). Cherished grandfather of Nicole, Samantha, Jamie, and Jackson Carwile. Also survived by his furry companions; Belle and T. Beloved son of the late James Russell Carwile, Sr. and the late Margaret (Pugh) Carwile. He was predeceased by his daughter Kelly Carwile

Jack was a teacher with the Alexandria City School System for 34 years. He enjoyed his amateur radio and was a member of the Woodbridge Wireless (WWI). In his free time, he liked building and operating model planes; both with and without engines. He also went to the shooting range with his buddy whenever he could. His passion in life was his grandchildren.

James W. Scott, 76, of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of Lansing, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Maryana Scott of Scottsdale, one son, Daniel (Rhoda Movete) Mabule, three grandchildren: Maryana, Chisomo and Madalitso of Wichita Falls, TX, mother, Missouri Scott of Atlanta, GA and two sisters and their families; Louise Victoria (Leonard) Robertson of Lawton, OK and Rita Valencia (George) Forrest of Alphretta,GA and a host of other relatives and friends.
