Prince William County Schools officials today will cut the ribbon its newest elementary school.
The yet-to-named elementary school will be built on a site proffered to the county by the Ferlazzo family to be used as an elementary school.

Police want to know who nearly run down an officer at the Occoquan Craft Show.
A red Jeep was spotted by the uniformed officer driving in an area of town that had been blocked off by cones. The officer went to speak to the driver, and as he walked out in front of the Jeep the driver accelerated, according to police.

A woman arrested in Stafford is wanted in connection to a murder in Woodbridge.
Police said the woman was detained by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office on unrelated charges after a man was pronounced dead at a home in the 14823 block of Statler Drive in Woodbridge, just off Cardinal Drive.

Every Year on the second Saturday of December, Wreaths Across America performs a ceremony to pay tribute to our Fallen Veterans by placing hand made wreaths from Maine on the veterans grave sites.
This year the ceremony will be on December 12 at noon at Oak Hill cemetery located at 1902 Plank Road Fredericksburg.

While police have announced no arrests in this case, the public should not be concerned.
“At this time it does not appear to be random so no cause for the general public to be concerned,” said Manassas police spokeswoman Adrienne Helms.
