Sugar Shack Donuts opened in North Stafford on Saturday, Sept 10 2016.
The Richmond-based chain chose to locate at a drive-through/walk-up stand located at 428 Garrisonville Road. The shop was once home to Brewsters Ice Cream, a pizza shop, and most recently a failed greek order-out eatery before Sugar Shack opened its doors.

The new indoor pool opened to the public for the first time on Saturday.
The Prince William County Aquatics Center at Charles Colgan Sr. High School offered free admission all day September 10. It was a chance for area residents to check out the new $11 million center complete with an Olympic-sized swimming pool, children’s pool, waterslide, and spectator area.

At approximately 10:30am this morning, multiple units from the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Union 1st Market Bank located at 1044 Warrenton Rd for a report of a bank robbery. Bank employees reported that two suspects entered the bank, walked up to the teller windows and demanded cash. Both suspects displayed a firearm during the robbery. The suspects fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Armed Robbery *ARREST – On September 11, Darius Lamont DAVIS turned himself into police without incident at the Gar-Field Station in Woodbridge. The accused was wanted for a robbery which occurred in the 18000 block of Fraley Blvd in the Town of Dumfries on August 18. The investigation continues.
