The Historic Port of Falmouth Park will re-open for regular operating hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., tomorrow, October 8, 2016. Testing conducted by Stafford County officials has determined that the bacterial levels in the river are below state standards and the water is safe.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Stabbing Investigation– On October 4 at 8:52AM, officers responded to the Prince William Community Health Center located at 4379 Ridgewood Center Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that as a patient at the practice was being escorted to a treatment area, he walked by a dentist working on another patient.
A car smashed into an electronic message sign near the intersection of Route 234 and Hastings Drive in Manassas early Monday.
The demolished sign is owned by the city and had an electronic message board that was used to display information about city events and messages from city hall. There would be word yet from Manassas police if anyone was charged in the crash that demolished the sign.

A Woodbridge man is wanted after a grand jury indicted him on two counts of fraud after a seven-month investigation in two states.
A woman on February 2 called the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office to report someone had fraudulently withdrawn more than $7,000 from her Bank of America account in two transactions, said Stafford sheriff’s spokeswoman MC Moncure.
The city’s strategic plan — a document that states what specific things want to see in their community, from better schools, sidewalks, and new businesses — was a topic in the Manassas City Council Candidates Forum.
It’s been 12 years since a panel of city residents gathered to talk about how the city should update its plan that, according to the last update in 2012, focuses on education, public safety, housing, and redevelopment, economic development, and transparency in government.

Felony Child Neglect | Felony Hit and Run | Eluding – On September 29 at 6:29PM, an officer attempted to conducted a vehicle stop in the area of the Caton Hill Rd and Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for a traffic violation. When the officer activated his lights and sirens, the driver refused to stop and fled at a high rate of speed onto northbound Minnieville Rd. Officers pursued the vehicle onto Telegraph Rd where the driver crashed into a guard rail causing the vehicle to overturn. The driver then exited the vehicle and fled on foot. A passenger of the vehicle, identified as a 17-year-old male juvenile of Woodbridge, remained at the vehicle and had minor injuries. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused.
