Double Fatal Crash Investigation – On March 11 at 8:50PM, investigators with the Crash Unit responded to Prince William Pkwy between I-95 and York Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a two-vehicle accident. From Manassas police: 

Burglary — At approximately 9:35 p.m. on March 8, 2017, Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 9000 block of Portner Ave for a report of a burglary. The reporting party told officers that while sleeping on the second floor of the residence, several residents were awakened by a loud noise. When the residents walked downstairs, they observed two unknown males in dark clothes and masks who had broken in through a rear door and were inside the residence.

From the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office: 

On March 7, 2017, at approximately 12:40 PM, Sheriff’s Office Volunteer Mark Seymour was investigating an abandoned vehicle on Thomas Jefferson Place.  At the scene, he observed a white Volkswagen displaying expired Virginia tags and a flat tire.  While documenting the information, three males approached Mr. Seymour and asked him what he would be doing about the vehicle.  One of the males identified himself as the vehicle’s owner.

QUANTICO, Va. — Workers spent the better part of Thursday morning cleaning the spire.

It was the first time the silver belfry, representing a flag pole from the iconic Iwo Jima raising of the flag photo captured during WWII, had been cleaned since the National Museum of the Marine Corps opened in 2006.

Stafford, VA. On March 7, 2017, at  8:09 a.m., Deputy A.C. Wolford responded to a disturbance at the Sheetz at 10 Washington Square. Upon his arrival, he contacted the store manager who advised a male had purchased gas at the pump and then entered the establishment.

The male began talking with customers stating that he was going to blow up the store. The subject then purchased two containers of snuff and walked out the business. A few moments later he returned and asked the cashier to open the snuff cans. He left the store again, got into a silver Chrysler Pacifica, and left the parking lot. (more…)
