A production crew descended on the Manassas train station on Wednesday.
The crew was working shooting a public service announcement about veterans health care in Virginia, we’re told.

MANASSAS — Children in Manassas are participating this year’s city police summer camp.
The annual camp runs from July 7 to 21. A graduation for campers is scheduled for July 24 at city hall.
WOODBRIDGE — A software upgrade will prevent some riders for scheduling deviations from regularly scheduled OmniLink routes.

The annual boat races on the Potomac River pit adults and children against each other to see not only who has the most creative cardboard boat, but who can put it in the water and win a race.

Prince William County officials on Tuesday were to approve a deal with the Potomac Nationals baseball team’s plan to build a new stadium in Woodbridge.
That’s not going to happen now after the team asked for the public hearing and subsequent vote to be removed from the agenda of Tuesday’s Board of County Supervisors meeting.

In Virginia, we have elections every year. This year, we even have three including a special election for school board on August 29 and then elections for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General and State Delegate on November 7.
Turnout in our state and local elections plummets. In my experience, a large reason is that voting takes precious time away from jobs and families and given Northern Virginia traffic, time is at a premium.
