MANASSAS — A feasibility study is complete, and now city officials will take the discussion about a new downtown library to the public.
An informal meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on the Manassas Museum lawn to discuss the construction of a new combination library and museum building that would be located on the grounds of the Manassas Museum. The two-story, 30,000 square foot complex could incorporate the existing city museum, be built in front of the existing museum, or closer to the corner of Main and Prince William streets.

Calling is still the best way to contact 911 in an emergency, but in certain situations, a text might be better. The Prince William County Office of Public Safety Communications can now accept text-to-911 emergency messages from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless customers who find themselves needing assistance in Prince William County and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park. The service should only be used when someone has a physical disability or special need where calling is not possible or when speaking out loud would put the caller in danger.
MANASSAS — In May, Potomac Local was the first to tell you about a brewing parking problem at a BB&T bank branch in Downtown Manassas.
The bank hired a towing company to remove parked cars from their parking lot, one of the few in downtown.
From Prince William police:

When the officer approached the man, it was determined that he was intoxicated. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.
WOODBRIDGE — It’s a cramped, crowded, and congested intersection in Woodbridge referred to as “Suicide Hill.”
And it was a topic of discussion at a “Conversation with the Chief,” a candid conversation with Prince William County Police Chief Barry Barnard on July 17.
