· The wonderful staff at Prince William Conservation Alliance has a Workday at Merrimac Farm scheduled for Saturday, April 28, 9am-12pm. The farm is located at 15014 Deepwood Lane, Nokesville 20181. Volunteers are needed for a morning of weeding, pruning, and watering plants to make sure the Wildlife Garden looks terrific for visitors, and they will also be tidying up and cleaning the Stone House. OWL Volunteer Firefighters responded to the report of a townhouse fire off Sugar Hill Drive in Woodbridge. A second caller reported the fire in the next neighborhood located at 1862 Beegee Court, and responding units were immediately redirected. Crews arrived within minutes and reported fire showing from the back of the townhouse.

The Manassas Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Music Director James Villani, will conclude its 25th Anniversary Season with Russian Silver on May 12, 2018 at 7:30 pm at the Hylton Performing Arts Center. The highlight of the concert will be the performance of Rimsky-Korsakov’s magical Scheherazade, where the orchestra will be augmented with 21 advanced musicians from seven area high schools and one middle school, representing 3 different school districts, Prince William County, Manassas City, and Fairfax County Schools. The MSO performed this amazing composition in 2007.
