STAFFORD – (Press Release) An intoxicated driver was arrested early Saturday morning by deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office for driving under the influence and felony eluding following a pursuit.

On November 3, 2018, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Deputy Brandon Boyle was on patrol in the area of 33 Wicomico Drive when he observed a vehicle repeatedly slowing down and speeding up over the speed limit. Then, at the intersection of Northampton Boulevard and Old Mineral Road, the vehicle failed to come to a complete stop at the stop sign.

WOODBRIDGE – (Press Release) – On November 5 at 2:08PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2900 block of Chinkapin Oak Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary-in-progress. The investigation revealed that two masked men entered the residence and encountered the homeowner. At that point, the suspects fled on foot. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. No weapons were seen and no property was reported missing. The suspects were only described as black males wearing all dark colored clothing. This incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary | Violation of a Protective Order *ARREST – On November 1, the suspect, identified as Roger Melvin Sesso LASSITER, who was sought in connection to a domestic related burglary incident that occurred at a residence located in the 2900 block of Myrtlewood Dr in Dumfries on October 14, was arrested without incident.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY – (Press Release) On Friday, November 2nd, Prince William County Police and Fire Marshals were dispatched to 9500 block of Liberia Avenue in Manassas regarding a bomb threat. A suspect had called in a threat to workers who notified management.

Fire Marshals and County Police arrived on-scene and began conducting a thorough investigation of the incident. This included interviews in which a suspect was identified. A warrant for the suspect was obtained and executed by the Fire Marshal’s Office.

FAIRFAX  – (Press Release) Rolling lane closures are planned to occur in both directions on I-66 between Route 29 in Gainesville and Sudley Road (Route 234 Business) during daytime hours tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 7 and Thursday, Nov. 8. Crews will be refreshing lane stripes and pavement markings that were installed as part of lane shifts needed for the I-66 Outside the Beltway project.

Lane closures will take place between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Closures will begin in the morning on westbound I-66 and will switch in the afternoon to eastbound I-66.

WOODBRIDGE — Two people were killed in a crash that occurred in front of Gar-Field High School in Woodbridge on Monday night.

We’re told the two male victims were pronounced dead on the scene. A third victim was taken to an area hospital where their condition remains unknown.

O.W.L. V.F.D members visited more than 55 homes this weekend in the River Ridge community to test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and change batteries. Residents were ready, with new batteries in hand and open doors to welcome the fire fighters.

Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department reminds residents that one easy step can help save their lives and the lives of those around them. Twice a year change the batteries in their smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors, test the alarms and remind friends, family, neighbors and fellow community members to do the same.
