STAFFORD — (Press release) A woman was taken into custody early Thursday morning by units with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office after she broke into a daycare and was found not wearing any clothes.

On April 4, 2019, at approximately 5:22 a.m., Sgt. Aubry responded to a reported breaking and entering at the Kids on the Move Learning Center located at 628 Cambridge Street. Upon arrival, he found a woman dressed in black standing inside the building with a fork in each hand. After she was taken into custody, the suspect told the sergeant that he was making a mistake and that she was the daycare owner’s wife.

STAFFORD — (Press release) The Stafford County Democratic Committee and the Fredericksburg Democratic Committee will hold a combined unassembled Caucus on April 27, 2019, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Courthouse Community Center, Room C, 29 Stafford Avenue in Stafford  for the purpose of nominating a Democratic Candidate for the 28th House of Delegates District.

Those in line at 5 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

MANASSAS — (Press release) Investigators identified additional suspects in the shooting incident which occurred on March 15, 2019, on the 9600 block of Grant Ave. Grorethas MCKINNON Jr. was arrested without incident on March 28, 2019, in connection to the case.

MCKINNON was charged with malicious wounding and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony. MCKINNON is currently being held at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 23, 2019.

STAFFORD — (Press release) The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating reports of a suspicious male subject who approached three juveniles at a bus stop on Thursday morning in the southern end of the county.

On April 4, 2019, at approximately 7:15 a.m., three middle school-aged boys were reportedly waiting at their bus stop at the intersection of Hartwood Road and Reserve Way when a male subject drove by the bus stop laughing and smiling at the boys.


DUMFRIES — (Press release) Dumfries Town Council, Town Manager, Keith Rogers Jr., presented the Proposed Fiscal Plan for FY 2020 and the Capital Improvement Plan for FY 2020 – 2024 Capital Improvement Plan. 

This budget includes enhancements in four focus areas, public safety; economic vitality; infrastructure and sustainability; and, well-managed government.   These enhancements were funded without raising taxes.
