The 7th-Annual Fredericksburg Kid Expo will return to the Fredericksburg Convention Center next month.

Prince William

Officials are ready to cut the ribbon on a new fire station in Prince William County.

The new Coles Station 6 was built next to the old one on Route 234 at Independent Hill, across from Colgan Senior High School. The old station, which used to house a mix of volunteer and career firefighters, was demolished.

A historical marker noting the location of the old Woodbridge Airport was destroyed.

A vehicle that crashed on Old Bridge Road early Sunday morning took out the marker. It was installed on Old Bridge Road near the Lake Ridge Festival shopping center on October 29, 2019.

Press release | At the request of the U.S. Secret Service (USSS), Smithsonian Metrorail Station will be temporarily closed on Friday, January 24, from system opening through the early afternoon hours due to an event on the National Mall and related security considerations. The station closure is necessary due to the station’s proximity to the event security perimeter.
