With spring cleaning on the horizon, Prince William County officials, in a press release., are reminding residents they can help keep items out of the landfill while getting them out of the house and off their property.

Yard waste | Residents can drop off yard waste such as lawn clippings, tree limbs, leaves, etc. at the Balls Ford Road Compost Facility or at the Prince William County Landfill in designated areas where it will be processed into mulch, wood shavings, or compost.

Police filed charges after a sexual assault that was reported at Woodbridge Middle School.

A police officer assigned to the school after a 13-year-old female student told the officer she was assaulted on a school bus on the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020. She said another male student touched her inappropriately while they were both riding the school bus, Prince Willian police said.

Prince William

Prince William County is looking for bilingual volunteers who will help those in the hard-to-count communities be counted in the 2020 U.S. Census. According to the County, hard-to-count areas are areas identified by the Census that are historically undercounted due to language barriers and lack of trust that the Census data is confidential.

Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to attend training from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, at the Potomac Community Library located on Opitz Boulevard in Woodbridge.
