Stafford, Va. –– Two Woodbridge men were busted in connection to two moonshine stills, one of them uncovered in Stafford County.
An extensive investigation involving Virginia ABC agents and Stafford sheriff’s investigators uncovered a man who provided them information about the sale of a moonshine still, its operation, and about the 196 proof alcohol it produced.
While no one was injured, officials say sprinklers helped to douse the flames.
The fire broke out at 5:30 p.m. at 12800 Island House Loop in Ridgefield Village off Hoadly Road.
Woodrbridge, Va. –– Prince William police said a 66-year-old man inappropriately touched an 11-year-old girl at Potomac Mills mall.

Lorton, Va. — Police are looking for witnesses to the fatal crash that took the life of a 57-year-old woman Wednesday night.
The crash occurred at 9:10 p.m. in the area of Ox Road (Va. 123) and Henderson Road.
Sheriff’s authorities were called to the home in the 700 block of Twin Brook Lane, off U.S. 1 in North Stafford about 6 p.m.

The 22-acre West Grove Park on Fort Hunt Road has long been eyed for a potential dog park, and if built would join seven others in Fairfax County that allow dogs to roam without the leash.
If a fire or any other emergency breaks out at a home, rescue crews and fire fighters need to be able to clearly see the house number posted on each home as quickly as possible, officials said.
If the numbers aren’t posted, it could take longer for help to arrive in the event of an emergency. (more…)
