Stafford, Va. –– Officials want to know what you think about plans for future urban growth in Stafford County.
Two public workshops will be held to discuss planned Urban Development Areas in the county, the first at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Stafford, at the building formerly used by Stafford Rescue Station 1 at 2147 Jefferson Davis Highway (U.S. 1) at 7 p.m., next to the county’s administration center.

Stafford County, Va. –– Investigators in Stafford County want to know who is walking into Walmart stores and walking out with loads of stolen goods.
Three Walmart stores in the county, including one on Garrisonville Road (Va. 610) in North Stafford, have been hit several times since early December.
Expanding ridership on Virginia’s only commuter railroad has caused crowding, and forced rail officials to look for ways to extend the length of trains.
Virginia Railway Express’ CEO Dale Zehner in an email to riders Thursday stated ridership on the two-line commuter rail system has reached nearly 20,000 passengers on its busiest days – 10 of which were in October.
