FREDERICK, MD – Randolph Oduber hit a two-out two-run single in the tenth as Potomac beat Frederick 6-4 in extra innings. The single from Oduber gave the Nationals (4-6) their first lead of the day over the Keys (5-5).
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Jubair Ahmad, 24, a native of Pakistan and resident of Woodbridge, Va., was sentenced Friday to 144 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for providing material support to Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (LeT), a designated foreign terrorist organization.
Neil H. MacBride, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia; Lisa Monaco, Assistant Attorney General for National Security; and James W. McJunkin, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office, made the announcement after sentencing by United States District Judge T. S. Ellis III.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Police released the names of two motorcyclists killed this weekend in separate crashes on Joplin Road.
Christopher Lee Capo, 34, of Dumfries, was killed Saturday morning near the intersection of Joplin and Park Headquarters roads near Triangle when the driver of a 2007 Volkswagen Golf traveling west on the two lane road tried to make a U-turn. The car crossed into the path of an oncoming 2010 Aprilia RSV4 motorcycle.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Tommy La Stella drove home three runs and J.R. Graham went six strong innings as the Lynchburg Hillcats snapped their two-game losing streak knocking off the Potomac Nationals by the final score of 6-4. Matt Chaffee picked up his second save of the season striking out the possible tying run in Adrian Sanchez to end the game.
