MANASSAS PARK, Va. — The Aubergine Chef donated a watermelon-colored mixer to the Manassas Park Community Center.

Jason Shriner, who is known as the Aubergine Chef, runs a blog under the same name that offers free recipes and video cooking tutorials. When not cooking online, Shriner teaches classes at the community center that is in need of a mixer.

Virginia democrats now have their ticket set for upcoming fall election.

After the results of yesterday’s primary elections, Virginia Senator Ralph Northam, of Accomack County on Virginia’s Eastern Shore, beat out Aneesh Chopra by nearly 10 points, with 54 % of the vote. A medical doctor, former circuit court judge, and former Commonwealth Attorney, Northam will face Republican E.W Jackson this fall in a race to be the next Lt. Governor of Virginia.

Woodring has lived in the Westminster at Lake Ridge retirement community since 1995. Ever since she moved in, she has went to a Giant Food store in Lake Ridge at least twice a week.

MANASSAS, Va. — A woman was raped by a man wielding a BB gun, police said.

It happened on Saturday after a 21-year-old woman from Manassas picked up an known acquaintance who directed her to drive to the area of Par Drive and Vint Hill Road in Nokesville. Once there, the man pulled out the gun – later determined to be a BB gun – and raped the woman, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.

MANASSAS, Va — Water is rushing over the Lake Jackson Dam near Manassas at this hour.

It’s been a humid day full of heavy downpours and thunderstorms across the region. Now under a tornado watch, more thunderstorms are expected to impact the area during the late evening hours, according to the National Weather Service.
