MANASSAS PARK, Va. — Police are looking for a man who forced his way into a Manassas Park home in the 9200 block of Kristy Drive.
MANASSAS, Va. — The woman who brought national attention to Weems Elementary School in Manassas by way of the Ellen DeGeneres show received a promotion.
Angela Burnett will head Metz Middle School staring July 1. Currently working at the principal of Weems Elementary, she was handed a check for $50,000 this spring from DeGeneres that will be used to implement a uniform program at the school.
MANASSAS, Va. — Manassas will celebrate is rail heritage this Saturday at, appropriately enough, the 19th Annual Manassas Railway Heritage Festival.
The annual event draws thousands to the Civil War city for live music, family-friendly entertainment, displays of farm equipment and, of course, train rides.

A Woodbridge man faces charges in a fatal crash on Virginia roads over the Memorial Day weekend – one of seven deadly crashes that occurred on state roads.
Thomas J. Smith, of Woodbridge, faces reckless driving charges in a crash that occurred early Saturday morning on Interstate 95 near Lorton. Rashid K. Humphreys, 30, of Yonkers, N.Y., was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car. He was taken to Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, Virginia State Police reported.
