STAFFORD, Va.– The Before ‘n’ After Café on Wapole Street in Stafford has expanded into the county’s newest housing community Embrey Mill.

The eatery has opened its doors at Embrey Mill’s new community center, Embrey House, and will provide a full menu of appetizers, club sandwiches, Panini sandwiches, as well as fried foods like French fries, and fried macaroni and cheese. This is the second location for Before ‘n’ After Café which opened its first location in the Shops at Amyclae three years ago.

The clinic will be held at HomeTowne Auto Repair & Tire on U.S. 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 1.

The clinic will be led by Lori Johnson, an technician certified by the Nationals Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, or ASE. She is also the owner of “Ladies, Start Your Engines,” a business that works with independent automotive shops like HomeTowne to teach light automotive maintenance classes to women.

New poles have been erected along Interstate 95 as part of the Express Lanes Project.

More than 40 poles have been strung along a stretch of HOV lanes between Prince William Parkway and their current terminus in Dumfries. They’ll be used to light the highway facility, said a project spokeswoman.

Patch, the network of hyperlocal news websites once owned by Aol and sold this month to an investment firm, laid off nearly all of its workforce Wednesday.

Patch’s network of 900 hyperlocal news sites, including sites in Manassas, Manassas Park, Dale City, Lake Ridge, Woodbridge, and Fredericksburg, had editors who once were paid to gather news and cover their community.

A new reservoir, Rocky Pen Run, was put into operation Tuesday, as development and population in Stafford County continue to grow. With water reserves to help serve the county’s 134, 352 residents, it is considered the largest public work project to take place in Stafford.
