Yesterday evening, Prince William police responded to a call in Nokesville about shots fired.
According to a Prince William police release, the caller and now the accused, 38-year old Brandon Wood, stated to the police that someone was firing a gun into his residence.
On Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m., the Prince William fire and rescue department received a call about a fire alarm at the Orchard Mills Apartment Complex.
The complex is located on Bannon Way in Dale City.
To recap, the woman and young child had walked out of the store to her vehicle. She then placed the child in the carseat. When she stood back up, she was shocked to find a man standing next to her. She asked him to step back. He showed a gun and demanded money.
A similar thing happened to me years ago in another area. I am normally very aware of my surroundings. I had served in the Civil Air Patrol, and our motto was Semper Vigilans, which is Latin for “always vigilant” — always alert and ready. I took that motto to heart.
An armed man robbed a woman in the Target parking lot in Stafford Marketplace in North Stafford while the woman’s young granddaughter was with her.
According to Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Bill Kennedy, the woman and child had walked out of Target to her vehicle. She then placed the child in the carseat. When she stood back up, she was shocked to find a man standing next to her. She asked him to step back, and he responded by asking for change. She declined. That’s when it got scary.
On April 3 Prince William police responded to a call from Small World Day Care in Woodbridge, to investigate a suspicious person.
According to a Prince William police release, a staff member at the day care stated that a young man entered the location and was trying to pick up a child.
According to the Virginia State Police, Ketter has been safely located. The Amber Alert has been terminated.
The Virginia State Police have issued an Amber Alert for 4-year old Kaleya Ketter.
Last night, Prince William police responded to a call in Woodbridge to investigate a robbery.
According to a Prince William police release, the victim is a 44-year old Triangle man that stated he was meeting with an acquaintance near the River Oak Community Center.
Starting tomorrow, residents will be able to visit the carnival, which is being hosted at the K-Mart Shopping Center lot in Dale City.
The carnival, located off of Dale Boulevard, will run from April 9 through April 19.
“Charlotte” Bennett Carter Leith, age 95, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, formerly of Fredericksburg, Virginia, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Warner Community Hospice Center in Fernandina Beach, Fla.
Charlotte was born on April 28,1919 in Fredericksburg, Virginia to George (Bob) F. Bennett and Charlotte (Lottie) Walker Bennett. After a four year stay in Chicago with the father’s family, she returned to Fredericksburg in 1924 with her mother and baby sister, Lucille.
