Hurricane Laura is now bringing damaging winds and floods through central and northern Louisiana.
Meanwhile, the Gulf Coast is still experiencing high water levels.

Tropical Storm Laura is expected to reach hurricane status as it makes landfall in the Gulf Coast tonight. Extreme winds and flash flooding along the Northwest Gulf Coast are expected, as well as a catastrophic storm surge.
Laura’s trajectory will send it northeast from Texas and Louisiana.

We’re closely watching Tropical Storm, as it may have an effect on our region over the weekend.
More on that below, but first, Wednesday will be sunny with a chance of rain in the afternoon.

Tuesday will be hot and sunny during the day, followed by showers at night.

It’ll be mostly cloudy on Saturday with showers possible all day.

Friday may bring rain in the afternoon but will otherwise be partly sunny.

It’s back to the drawing board for the long talked about interchange at Routes and 123 in Woodbridge.
Prince William County’s Department of Transportation is conducting a “Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions” study, also known as the STARS, to identify new, cost-effective designs for an interchange that would untangle traffic in the busy intersection, as well as provide easy access to the nearby Belmont Bay neighborhood and Virginia Railway Express commuter rail station.

Showers are possible on Thursday, with thunderstorms returning on Friday.

Today will be nice, but rain chances return on Friday.
