A sinkhole measuring 18 feet deep and 25 feet wide has crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation working overtime.
The hole formed last week in North Stafford after heavy rains in the area, and subsequently forced the transportation agency to close a portion of Eustace Road between Northhampton Boulevard and Legal Court.

As a U.S. Air Force veteran, I attended an event for vets hosted at VFW Post 1503 in Dale City. The Town Hall was on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.
I didn’t know this event for Vets was actually for Democrats only. I say this because Prince William County senators Richard Black and Richard Stuart, and Tim Delegate Hugo (all three veterans of considerable military stature) weren’t at the Town Hall.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — Five people were taken to a hospital following a crash on Route 234.
All five people suffered serious injuries in the crash that occurred at 5 p.m. outside the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. One was flown to an area hospital from the visitors center of the Manassas National Battlefield.
DALE CITY — A 7-Eleven on the corner of Minnieville Road and Cardinal Drive was robbed in broad daylight.
A man walked into the convenience store at 14410 Minnieville Road about 12:30 p.m., told an employee he had a gun and was given cash from the register.
Sentara Healthcare will triple its financial support for Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) with a commitment of $130 million over the next five years. For the period 2018 through 2023, annual funding given by Sentara to EVMS will increase from a previous amount of $9 million per year to $26 million per year.
“After 46 years working together, the relationship between Sentara and EVMS has never been stronger,” said Sentara Board of Directors Chair, Henry U. ‘Sandy’ Harris. “Together, we are demonstrating the missions of both institutions and keeping the focus on patient care and innovation during this time of change in the health care landscape.”

Sexual Assault – On July 29 at 7:45AM, officers responded to the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a physical assault. The caller, later identified as the accused, initially reported to police that he was physically assaulted by two males while standing outside an apartment building in the above area.
