A man was at home in his living room when he heard a knock on the door.
The person on the other side apparently got tired of knocking and kicked in the door. When inside, the man recognized the resident of the apartment and then proceeded to search the home for a mutual friend, according to police.

Yaritza Velen Avalos, who was reported as missing and endangered earlier today, has been located and is safe.
Seven hundred 9th and 10th grade students in Manassas Parks schools will now have access to an electronic tablet device for their schoolwork, as part of a partnership between the Virginia Department of Education and the school system.
“The program is being funded in part by the Virginia Department of Education – it’s an e-learning initiative grant that we applied for and received,” said Jennifer Braswell-Geller, Director of Special Programs for the Manassas Park school system.
Fights broke out at area malls this weekend in Manassas and Woodbridge.
Officers were called first to an IHOP restaurant inside Manassas Mall at 3:07 a.m. Saturday, March 7, at 8300 Sudley Road just outside Manassas.
Jean (“Jeanie”) McKee Dunivin, a long-term resident of Lake Ridge, Prince William County, Virginia, died from respiratory complications February 27, 2015. She was 85 years old. She is remembered as a floral designer, teacher, philanthropist, and prominent local artist whose life’s work reflected her passion for color and design and her compassion for family and friends. Among her most notable artistic works are a series of stained glass panels on permanent display at public buildings throughout Prince William County.
Jeanie was born at the Cook County Illinois Hospital just three weeks after the 1929 stock market crash. Born into an artistic family, her father, John Dukes McKee, was a successful commercial artist and her mother, Helen, was a photographer. Jeanie grew up in La Grange, Illinois during the Great Depression.

On Saturday, February 7, 2015, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Prince William County Chapter Inc., in collaboration with the Society of Women Engineers hosted a very productive workshop entitled, “Girls Go To Techbridge”.
The purpose of the event was to inspire and expose young girls’ grades sixth through eighth to STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This was an awesome event for our girls.
Police in Manassas said they charged a dog owner who tied weights to the animal’s leg and made it walk down a sidewalk.

Thursday’s snowfall broke records, and classes in Prince William County Public Schools were canceled yesterday and today.
Now, with spring on the doorstep and summer not far behind, many parents wonder how if their children will need to make up school days missed due to inclement weather.
Thursday’s snow was record breaking at all three Washington, D.C. area airports.
At total of 9.5 inches of snow fell at Washington Dulles International Airport, breaking the daily snowfall total at that airport set in 2001.
