Thefts from Motor Vehicles
On Oct. 28, 2016, Manassas City Police met with a resident for a report of a larceny from vehicle. The reporting party told officers that sometimes between 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 27 and 2 p.m. on Oct. 28, someone stole a box of network cables out of the back of his van where it was parked in the rear of 8680 Hospital Way (Novant Health UVA Health System Prince William Medical Center). The cables were valued at $10,000.
On Oct. 28, 2016, Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 8500 block of Willowbrook Way for a report of a larceny from vehicle. The reporting party told officers that sometime between 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 26 and 7 a.m. on Oct. 27, someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a bag containing jewelry. The jewelry was valued at approximately $1,750.
At approximately 11:55 p.m. on Oct. 30, 2016, Manassas City Police responded to the 9100 block of Landgreen St for a larceny from vehicle. The reporting party told officers that moments prior, she was inside her residence looking out when she observed an unknown subject inside her unlocked vehicle in front of the residence. Upon further inspection, the victim discovered a cell phone case was stolen. A second victim at the same residence reported that her vehicle, which was also parked in the front of the residence, had been rummaged through but no items were had been stolen.
On Oct. 26, 2016, Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 9200 block of Landgreen St for a report of a larceny from vehicle. The reporting party told officers that sometime between the evening of Oct. 24 and 8:15 a.m. on Oct. 26, someone entered his vehicle and stole two bottles of medication. The passenger side of the vehicle also sustained minor damage.
At approximately 10:10 a.m. on Oct. 26, 2016, Manassas City Police met with a citizen in the area of Liberia Ave and Kirby St for a report of a larceny from vehicle. The reporting party told officers that sometime during the overnight hours, someone shattered the front passenger side window of his work vehicle and stole several items valued together at approximately $550. Among the stolen items were a nail gun, a socket set, several saws, and a bank card.
On Oct. 26, 2016, Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 9400 block of Prince William St for a report of a larceny from vehicle.
