This after people at the fireworks show on the National Mall in 2014 were wrapping up in blankets due to cool temperatures. Now, for the bad news: It’s going to get very hot by the end of this week.

A code orange air quality alert is in effect for Thursday and Friday, according to Clean Air Partners. Pollution levels in will be harmful to children, seniors, and anyone with breathing or heart conditions.
