Manassas man wanted by police after assault, attempted malicious wounding

A Manassas man is wanted by the Prince William County Police Department for an assault and attempted malicious wounding incident that took place yesterday evening. 

A police K-9 team and a Fairfax County police helicopter attempted to search for the suspect. He has not yet been caught and detained.

Malicious Wounding | Attempted Malicious Wounding – On February 23rd at 10:20PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11900 block of Hilltop Dr in Manassas (20111) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 43 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in verbal argument which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and pushed her onto a nearby couch. While on the couch, the accused began to shake the victim before biting one of her fingers. Three other occupants of the home attempted to separate both parties. At that point, the accused pulled out a knife and attempted to cut one of the other occupants. No contact was made. The accused was eventually removed from the home and police were contacted. The initial victim sustained a wound to her finger. Other minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 and a Fairfax County police helicopter searched for the suspect. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused.
