Prince William County opened a new inclusive playground at George Hellwig Memorial Park after more than 200 volunteers built it Oct. 23, InsideNoVa reports.
The playground sits next to the Dr. Richard Tami Miracle Field and was designed with input from local children during a Design Day in August.
Prince William County Parks & Recreation, Amazon Web Services and KABOOM! partnered on the project. Coles District Supervisor Yesli Vega and acting parks director Janet Bartnik spoke at the event.
